Dear Corporate Representative,
The 26th Annual Engineering Career Fair, sponsored by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Tau Beta Pi (TBP), the National Engineering Honor Society, will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 and Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The SWE/TBP Career Fair is the largest job fair at the University of Michigan's College of Engineering and offers corporate representatives and students the opportunity to meet and discuss professional opportunities. Your company is strongly encouraged to attend and connect with many of our bright engineers.
REGISTRATION
The registration fee is $600 (or $200 for a non-profit and non-governmental organization) and is payable by check or credit card. This fee is a charitable donation, as it exceeds the value of tangible benefits received from attending. Benefits for a participating company include one conference-size table (for five representatives), one parking pass, continental breakfast for five representatives, and five lunches. Sponsors will receive a university gift receipt that describes the fee, cost of benefits, and charitable donation amounts. Companies are asked to provide their own displays. Additional lunches are available for $10 each.
Registration is exclusively available online and begins on May 1, 2010. Participation in the fair is on a first-come first-serve basis and limited to one day. The deadline for regular registration and payment is August 16, 2010. A full refund will be issued for registration cancellations made prior to this date, and a $100 late fee will be assessed for registrations and payments received after this date. A refund for half of the amount owed will be issued for cancellations made between August 16, 2010 and September 1, 2010. After September 1, 2010, registration is closed and no refunds will be issued for any cancellations. Please note that cancellations made after August 16 but prior to payment do not exempt a company from the registration and late fee.
**Registration for Monday, September 27th is now FULL. Companies can still attend on Tuesday, September 28th.**
RECEPTIONS
Career Fair Receptions will be held on the evenings of Sunday, September 26, 2010 and Monday, September 27, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Receptions are free of charge and provide a more relaxed atmosphere for students and corporate representatives to interact. Corporate representatives are encouraged to attend the evening before their attendance at the career fair. Participation at receptions will also give corporate representatives the opportunity for early check-in, eliminating the need for check-in on the morning of the actual fair.
SPONSORSHIP
This event would not be possible without the support of many generous sponsors. In addition to increased publicity, sponsors also receive an additional conference-size table at the fair. For more details, please see our sponsorship page.
