Student FAQ

Who should attend the fair?
All current College of Engineering and LSA computer science students at University of Michigan - Ann Arbor are invited to attend the fair. Students who are seeking a summer internship or full-time offer are especially encouraged to attend.
I am an undeclared first-year student, should I come to the fair?
Of course! Some companies do offer internships for students the summer right after their first year. Even if the company you would like to work for may not be hiring, or you don't have a specific job opportunity in mind, this is your best opportunity to gain more experience speaking with recruiters.
When is the Career Fair?
The Career Fair is on Monday, September 12th and Tuesday, September 13th, 2022 from 10 AM - 5 PM EST.
Where will the Career fair take place?
The Career Fair will take place throughout most North Campus buildings. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the campus layout using the maps found here.
What are the best ways to prepare for the fair?
See our full Student Guide for the best advice on how to prepare for a successful Career Fair experience.  Students who experience the most success are most often the ones who prepare far in advance and arrive to the event with clear goals for what they plan to accomplish.
What should I bring to the Career Fair?
Bring many copies of your resume (more than you expect to need) as well as a digital copy to use as backup or to submit virtually. Business formal attire is strongly recommended. You will not need to bring your transcript or cover letters, although these may be helpful for applying to jobs online.
Where can I find the list of companies attending?
The full list of companies will be available in the Engineering Careers by Symplicity app no later than one week prior to the first day of the fair.
